This summer I had the pleasure of working with celebrity hair stylist Cioxcia Cayson. Moving from a local hair salon to her own loft in downtown Cleveland, she wanted assistance in the revamp and decoration of the room. She wanted the theme of the loft to be Jamaican while preserving the edgy, minimalist style of her BookSomethingYo brand.

For this project, I visited the loft and documented the details of the space. Using Rhino, I duplicated the space in order to have an accurate base image for my rendering. Finally, I created a rendering using Adobe Photoshop that depicted the proposed color scheme and wall art of the space.

Additionally, I helped Cioxcia design a cover for her upcoming Lookbook. I used Adobe Photoshop to create the styles, keeping them minimalistic while playing with subtle patterns and preserving the Jamaican theme.

This piece was designed for the annual DAAP fashion show. The project required us to take a common household item and design a wearable unit only using one form of adhesion that was not tape or glue. I used coffee filters and sewing thread to construct a 5′ long cape with a V-Neck collar. The ruffles of the coffee filters accentuate the flow of the garment.
